Day 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park – Arusha

Your adventure begins in the morning with a pick-up from Arusha and a scenic drive to nearby Arusha National Park. Although smaller than many of Tanzania’s famous safari parks, Arusha National Park packs remarkable diversity into its landscapes, from lush montane forest and open grasslands to the Momella Lakes and the impressive Ngurdoto Crater.

Spend the morning and afternoon exploring the park on a guided game drive. Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife while your guide takes you through some of the park’s most scenic areas and viewpoints. Birdlife is especially abundant, and the imposing slopes of Mount Meru provide a spectacular backdrop throughout your exploration.

Around midday, take a break to enjoy lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the day, leave Arusha National Park and drive back to Arusha, bringing your day of wildlife, mountain scenery and exploration to an end.
