Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins in Arusha with a morning drive to Tarangire National Park. Once inside the park, spend the day exploring its beautiful landscapes of open savannah, river valleys and enormous baobab trees.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephants, but you may also encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and vervet monkeys. Around lunchtime, enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later in the day, leave the park and travel to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire Area – Ngorongoro Highlands – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, travelling through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands before entering the legendary Serengeti ecosystem.

The drive becomes part of your safari as you continue toward the Central Serengeti on a transfer game drive. Keep your camera ready as the landscape opens into classic Serengeti plains dotted with acacia trees and abundant wildlife.

Arrive at your tented camp and settle in for an evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Serengeti.

Day 3: Full-Day Central Serengeti

Spend the entire day exploring the Central Serengeti on a guided game drive. This wildlife-rich region provides excellent opportunities to encounter lions, leopards and cheetahs, alongside elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and many other species.

With a full day available, your guide can explore different parts of the Seronera region according to wildlife movements and conditions, allowing you to experience more of the Serengeti’s vast landscapes.

Day 4: Central Serengeti – Karatu

After breakfast, leave the Central Serengeti and begin your journey toward Karatu. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you travel out of the Serengeti and through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Arrive in Karatu later in the day and check into Highview Hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your final safari experience at Ngorongoro Crater the following morning.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Start early and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a guided game drive across the crater floor. This remarkable natural setting supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, spotted hyenas, elephants, buffaloes and the critically endangered black rhino.

Explore the crater’s grasslands, forests and wetlands before stopping for a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. After lunch and further wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your 5-day Tanzania safari.
