Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha early in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. After arriving, enjoy morning coffee or tea before beginning your guided game drive through one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive wildlife destinations.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant populations and magnificent baobab trees. During your game drive, look out for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and many other species while exploring the park’s rolling savannah, river landscapes and low hills.

Around lunchtime, stop for a picnic surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the evening, leave the park and drive to Suricata Boma Lodge for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Maasai Village – Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart from Suricata Boma Lodge and travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this remarkable natural wonder for a guided morning game drive across the wildlife-rich crater floor.

Explore its grasslands, forests and wetlands in search of lions, black rhinos, spotted hyenas, elephants and other wildlife. After your game drive, enjoy lunch before beginning the journey back toward Arusha.

Along the way, visit a Maasai village for an opportunity to learn about Maasai life and culture. Afterwards, continue to Arusha, where your 2-day safari comes to an end.
