Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha for Tarangire National Park. After arriving in the park, enjoy morning coffee or tea before setting out on your first guided game drive.

Tarangire is renowned for its enormous baobab trees, impressive elephant populations and beautiful mixture of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. Explore the park in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and other wildlife.

Enjoy lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing. In the evening, leave Tarangire and drive to Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Karatu – Ngorongoro Highlands – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, leave Karatu and travel through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park. The journey becomes part of the safari as you pass through changing landscapes before entering the famous Serengeti ecosystem.

Continue toward the Central Serengeti on a transfer game drive, watching for wildlife along the way. The Seronera region is known for its classic acacia-dotted plains, abundant wildlife and excellent opportunities for spotting big cats.

Arrive at your lodge and settle in for your first night surrounded by the landscapes of the Serengeti.

Day 3: Full-Day Central Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the wildlife-rich Central Serengeti on a guided game drive. With no long transfer required today, you can dedicate your time to searching for the animals that make the Serengeti one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations.

Explore the open plains, acacia woodland and riverine areas with your guide, looking for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and the many other species that inhabit this extraordinary ecosystem.

Day 4: Full-Day Central Serengeti

Enjoy another full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti. Having additional time in the region gives you another opportunity to explore different areas and follow wildlife activity as it unfolds.

Your guide will select the day’s game-drive areas according to wildlife movements and conditions, giving you more time to experience the vast landscapes and remarkable diversity of the Serengeti.

Day 5: Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, enjoy your final journey through the Serengeti as you travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The day’s transfer includes game viewing along the way and a visit to a Maasai village, which is included complimentary in the package.

Continue toward the Ngorongoro highlands and your camp near the crater rim. Settle into the peaceful surroundings and prepare for an early start into Ngorongoro Crater the following morning.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Begin early with a descent into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater’s grasslands, forests and wetlands support an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, spotted hyenas, elephants, buffaloes and the rare black rhino.

Explore the crater floor with your guide before beginning your afternoon drive back to Arusha. Your arrival in Arusha marks the end of six memorable days exploring some of northern Tanzania’s finest safari destinations.
