Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Your day begins with an early morning departure from Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin your guided game drive through one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive wildlife destinations.

Tarangire is renowned for its impressive elephant population and magnificent baobab trees. As you explore the park, look out for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and, with some luck, cheetahs and leopards. The Tarangire River, open plains, woodland and rolling hills create a beautiful setting for both wildlife viewing and photography.

Around lunchtime, stop at a scenic picnic area to enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by the wilderness. Afterwards, continue exploring the park on an afternoon game drive before beginning your journey back to Arusha in the evening.
