Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your exciting safari begins today! After a warm welcome and safari briefing, your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. You’ll head off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, some of the oldest in Africa.
From the open roof of your safari vehicle, enjoy the sights of seasonal swamps, golden savannahs, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. Keep your eyes out for elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, and a variety of bird species. After your game drive, head to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing the Malanja Depression and making your way to Serengeti National Park. You’ll stop at Naabi Hill Gate, where you can take a short walk to admire panoramic views from the granite kopjes.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with afternoon game drives across the vast Serengeti plains—“Siringet” in Maasai, meaning endless plains. Watch for large herds of wildlife, predators, and iconic African landscapes as the sun begins to set.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the early afternoon, cross into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head to your accommodation, nestled along the crater rim or within the highlands. Enjoy dinner and relax for the night, surrounded by nature.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife havens. The crater’s rich ecosystem supports a dense population of animals year-round.
Expect sightings of wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, zebras, elands, warthogs, and hippos. This is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the elusive black rhino. Visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake often filled with flamingos and other water birds.
After an unforgettable crater experience, drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward journey (Zanzibar flight or additional accommodation can be arranged upon request).
